Getting from Montréal airport (YUL) into the city

From Montréal-Trudeau (YUL) to downtown, a taxi costs a flat $49.45 by day and $56.70 at night, the 747 bus costs $11.25 and runs 24 hours, and a pre-booked private chauffeur meets you with your name and takes you door to door. The REM light-rail station at the airport isn't open yet; it's expected in 2027.

Which one to choose

• Alone, light luggage, daytime: the 747 bus or a taxi.
• Late night, several bags, or a group: a taxi minivan holds 5–6 people with 5 medium suitcases; beyond that, a pre-booked SUV.
• Business travel, a family with car seats, or an exact pickup time: a pre-booked chauffeur. You know the price and the car before you land.
• Going beyond downtown (West Island, Laval, Rive-Sud, Tremblant, Ottawa): taxis switch to the meter outside the downtown zone, so ask for a fixed quote.

Picking someone up yourself

The free CellParc waiting lot holds cars for up to 2 hours. The driver must stay in the car, and the passenger calls once they've cleared arrivals. Unattended cars are towed. ADM

What's changing

The REM light-rail station at the airport is expected to open in 2027 (ADM). Until then, the 747 and bus 815 are the transit links. ADM is also rebuilding drop-off areas through 2028, so door numbers can change; check the signs on the day.
